Position Summary:

 

As the Patient Safety Officer, will be responsible for the overall design, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive program to assess, manage, and improve the coordination, appropriateness and effectiveness of the PI and Patient Safety program. Develops and implements effective systems which enable the hospital and medical staff to assess and improve the quality of services they provide. Serves as a resource to hospital and medical staff leadership in the areas of clinical outcomes, quality improvement and regulatory standard interpretation, patient safety and assures compliance.

 

 


Qualifications

Minimum Education:                 Bachelors Degree preferred
 
Minimum Experience:                Three years as Patient Safety officer or Risk Management experience
 
Required Certification:              None - Preferred Certification in Risk Management
 
Required Licensure:                  RN or Allied Health Position with at least 3 years of acute care experience
 
Skills:   Computer Skills (work processing and graphic presentations), Proficiency in English with good writing, grammar, and composition skills. Independent work habits, self-reliant and self-directing
