Job Description
Maintain and repair hospital vehicles, grounds equipment, and hospital equipment. Performs landscape and snow removal duties.
Maintains tools and equipment in a safe and orderly fashion, ensuring safety of work area.
Contributes to Departments safe operation by taking all precautions required by Hospital procedures and OSHA requirements.
Contributes to Departments productivity and cost effectiveness by completing all tasks in an efficient, professional manner.
Completes all corrective and preventive work orders as assigned and notifies supervisor that work has been completed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities/Competencies
Successful candidate must be possess basic computer skills in order to use a variety of electronic systems to access and/or maintain personal employment-related data, satisfy required annual trainings, and use job-specific applications
Qualifications
License:Mass. Class 2 drivers license.
Basic knowledge and ability to operate and repair all hospital vehicles, including heavy-duty and construction equipment.
Education: High School Diploma, completion in licensed certified Mechanic School,
Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience of motor vehicle mechanics, and knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment required to service and repair vehicles. Knowledge and ability to maintain facility equipment.
Conditions of Employment
Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check) and clearance from the Occupational Health Department.
