Description

Assess and evaluate patients needs, custom fit CPAP/BiLevel sleep equipment for patients after sleep studies.  Follow-up with patients to resolve equipment problems, compliance with therapy.  Improve customer service for the sleep population.  Re-assess patient needs, re-fit equip as needed.  Replenish patient supplies as needed.  Supply and equipment ordering and inventory management.  Instruct patients on use and application of equipment.

 

Essential Functions:

Set-up, custom fit new patients with CPAP or BiLevel equipment.  Educate patients on use and application of equipment.  Ensure thorough understanding by the patient too ensure patient compliance with therapy.  Interpret sleep study reports to determine appropriate settings.
Communicate with pulmonary nurses and physicians to provide optimal customer service to members and ensure their needs are met.
Equipment and supply inventory, ordering and stocking, maintenance.
Schedule patients for follow-up appointments.  Trouble shoot patient equipment problems over the phone.  Patient compliance monitoring via phone.
Charting patient interventions as providers on EpiCare.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

1 year DME equipment experience.
Registered Respiratory Therapists or Certified Respiratory Technologist (RRT or CRT) or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT)
Advanced knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology related to respiration and sleep. 
Advanced knowledge of CPAP/BiLevel equipment, patient interfaces, market place availability of equipment and supplies.
Advanced knowledge of CPAP/BiLevel equipment.
Excellent patient education skills.
Excellent communication skills with team and patients.
Inventory management.
Patient compliance monitoring.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years experience with DME equipment program.
Advanced knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology related to respiratory and sleep. 
Advanced Computer skills.
Advanced inventory management, patient compliance, and DME base management, KARE, EpiCare, Bluegate, Word, OA, Excel, Access.

 

Salary Range:  $23.80 - 29.93
