MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Masters Degree preferred.
2. Three to five years' nursing/clinical experience. Prior experience with management of research studies and statistical analysis.
3. Knowledgeable of relevant regulatory guidelines.
4. Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with health care professionals at all levels. Proficient computer and skills.

Performs duties with accountability, competency, innovation, collaboration, compassion and respect to create the best possible outcomes with exceptional customer experiences.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Promotes good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations by possessing in-depth knowledge of federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of clinical trials and human subject protection.
2. Recruits, enrolls and evaluates patients for research ensures compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements by collecting, recording, and maintaining data and source documentation.
3. Reviews charts, observes research protocols, administers study medications, performs data entry, handles regulatory issues and paperwork including IRB and other submissions and renewals in accordance with FDA, IRB and Memorial Hermann guidelines.
4. Generates and reviews study budgets in consultation with investigators, sponsors and Memorial Hermann Research Office.
5. Educates patients, family members, staff, and physicians on research protocols.
6. Evaluates the effectiveness of research activities by documenting results and recommending changes for improvement when appropriate.
7. Assists in Memorial Hermann Research review and approval process as needed.
8. Responds promptly and courteously to internal requests and external calls/solicitations.
9. Maintains a positive relationship with various system departments to accomplish goals.
10. Adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.

11. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
