Description

Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic patient care  which is designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The Nurse Extern 1 may be cross-trained to perform unit secretary clerical duties and perform nursing practice interventions which have been learned within his/her clinical training and which have been successfully validates by an RN staff member.


Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing. Successfully completed the first clinical nursing course.

CPR and letter of recommendation from school required.
