Description

Plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures and services in conjunction with the Critical Care Director.  The Critical Care Lead is responsible for direction of patient care in the ICU and Emergency Department setting.  Managers staff members in the ICU and ED units.  Consults with staff, physicians and Critical Care Director regarding nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs and safety are met.  Maintains performance improvement activities and assists in formulating budget.  Supports all activities according to policy and procedures, philosophy, goals and mission statement of Hilton Head Hospital.
Qualifications

Current SC RN license; Current BLS & ACLS; PALS preferred; CVVH and IABP competence preferred; competence in recovery of open heart surgical patients preferred; minimum 5 years critical care nursing exp; previous managerial/supervisory exp preferred
