The RN Nurse Manager of the Patient Care Unit will provide clinical expertise and leadership to the nursing department. As a manager, they will have a significant leadership role under the Direction of the CNO. Administrative Responsibilities will include working closely with the Nurse Educator/Quality Manager to assure compliance and involvement in Case Management, CMS Measures, Education Compliance/Competency, Nursing Quality and Safety Programs. The duties of the manager will also include the following: Scheduling, New Employee hire selection/orientation, Constructive Discipline, Implementation and support of hospital/corporate policies/procedures to ensure safe, efficient and effective patient care for Adult/Pediatric patients. Monitoring and Developing a Quality Program, Reviewing Patient Satisfaction Surveys, Goal Setting to include improvement process, Case Management and Compliance will be a top priority in supporting BRVH Administration and Intermountain Healthcare Standards.
Current RN license required. ACLS, PALS certification required before start date. Requires Bachelor's degree, preferably BSN (or pursuing Bachelor's degree to be completed by 2012). Five years of nursing clinical experience. Demonstrated leadership abilities and clinical expertise. Demonstrated mentoring ability.
