JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the auspices of the Medical Director, the PA provides care for patients in the physicians' office. Provides evaluation and management services and minor surgical procedures for patients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Provides medical care to patients in the physicians' office and other clinical areas as requested under the direction of the Medical Director.
* Promotes and supports all Team Mercy standards of quality customer service.
* Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program in an area consistent with the population to be serviced. Current Physician Assistant OR NP license in good standing. BLS and ACLS required within 6 months.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

One to two years prior experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Word processing and data entry skills required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to read, write, speak, see and hear. Should be able to bend, sit and ambulate over a wide array of surfaces and settings to see patients.

Must be able to work effectively under stress, meet deadlines and coordinate several simultaneous activities. Must have good color vision acuity to read color strips and for accurate reading of equipment and recording on charts. Must have manual upper extremity dexterity and meet the Medium physical requirement.
