Oncology Nurse Educator
Employer located in Pennsylvania, PA
(Full time,Permanent)

A long standing large Outpatient Oncology Practice in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Educator to join their staff of 7 Oncologist, 2 NP’s and 19 RNs. They are the go to place for Oncology in their area.
This 15000 sq ft facility sees 30-40 Therapeutic patients a day and 45 Chemo patients a day. They are involved in a number of clinical trials. Large Chemo floor ~ 18 chairs & 4 chair therapeutic, non chemo.
Business hours M-F 8-5.
No weekends.

This position functions in the role of expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher in collaboration with the medical/nursing staff. This person will be responsible for staff development for seasoned and new employees as well as monitoring the clinical care of patients and providing clinical support to improve patient care and clinical outcome.

Qualifications:

• MSN preferred, BSN required.
• 5+ years of oncology nursing experience, 10 or more preferred.
• 3+ years in nursing education.
•Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN) is required or can be obtained shortly after employment.
Looking for someone with a passion for staff development and education. Desires an Oncology professional that stays in touch with the latest evidence based practices and the ability to implement them into the current practice model.
