Senior Consultant II
The focus of this position in the Northwest Region will be on research concerning Kaiser Permanente's marketplace position and marketing efforts. The larger questions involve meeting the needs of employers, brokers, and non-members. More specifically, this position will focus on how to attract and retain employers, how to better position Kaiser Permanente with brokers, and how to attract non-members to join Kaiser Permanente. The areas of research will concern: Market position, Rate position, Product Development, Advertising evaluation, employer and broker service performance and satisfaction, Brand positioning (especially for employers, brokers, and non-members), Non-Member perceptions, and Sales & Marketing performance. This person will be responsible for both tracking surveys and ad hoc research in the areas noted above. He/she will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing and interpreting the results, and effectively communicating the results in these areas to leadership in the Region.
Essential Functions
Thought partner with business owners to identify large-scale business/strategic issues.
Initiate and design high priority primary research activities on behalf of clients.
Addresses opportunities for process improvements and influencing change within KP.
Projects require more complex planning and direction setting with diverse and multiple stakeholders.
Inform colleagues across the Program of current research activities, share research findings and implications, help train new Program colleagues, and assimilate new findings from those colleagues.
Actively participate in setting national market research priorities based on "global knowledge" of industry and organizational strategic issues.
Help identify key gaps in knowledge and needed research for Program and Regions.
Guide clients away from redundant, non-strategic, cost-ineffective research
Set priorities for ad-hoc projects and analysis with key clients.
Assist clients in strategic planning, marketplace analysis, estimating growth potential, product research, image and reputation analysis, brand building, and service performance and improvements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years research experience with thorough training in qualitative and quantitative analysis and research methods or Master's degree and 6+ years research experience with thorough training in qualitative and quantitative analysis and research methods.
Ability to manage large, complex projects and to oversee multiple projects at the same time.
Apply advanced market research methodologies and or strong statistics and analysis skills and consulting skills.
Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts and explain to clients.
Works with clients on unusually complex research questions involving health industry & trends and provides innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in both research and business operations.
