Job Details:

Palmetto Health Richland has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and motivated individual to work with our drug informatics team. Projects and activities will be coordinated through Drug Information and Information Technology. Responsibilities may include participation in the formulary process, drug policy development and review, quality improvement/assurance initiatives, financial analysis and audit reporting, EpiCenter implementation and oversight, and technical support for existing and new systems. Teaching will also be a component of this position by precepting pharmacy practice residents and students. Applicants for this position must have exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong knowledge of computer applications, as well as effective interpersonal skills. Proficiency in literature evaluation, search techniques and solid foundation in financial concepts are considered a plus.. Must meet departmental staff development requirements. Education: Graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy. Experience: Prefer hospital pharmacy experience and/or ASHP accredited residency. Licesure, Registry or Certification Required: SC Registered Pharmacist License. Special Training: Must have thorough knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology; possess good mathmatical, computer, and aseptic technique skills. Must have problem solving abilities; able to work in team situations; handle urgent, stressful conditions. PH and departmental mandatory training required annually.
