Tenet Healthcare is currently hiring for a Director of Business Strategy and Development for the Florida Service Center. As the Director you will be responsible for all aspects of business development within the designated market in accordance with all applicable Tenet policy's and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.  These responsibilities include: growth of facility admissions and market share; physician development, recruitment & redirection; clinical program development; business planning and analysis; marketing and communication.  Other duties include:
  • Business Strategy/Business Planning - Leadership and direction for the development and implementation of assigned hospital's business strategy within the market.  Provides ongoing analysis of market dynamics and market share changes, product line performance and overall tracking of business initiatives and competitive intelligence.  Responsibilities include translating data and analysis into realistic business strategy.
  • Physician/Relationship Development -plans, organizes and directs activities aimed at improving relationships with local physicians and retaining and growing physician volume.
  • Monitoring business development activities, appointments, and sales activities on a monthly basis and providing updates to the Regional Director, Strategic Operations each month.
  • Tracking the results of business development activities and the resultant volume activities as a result of the business development activities.
  • Development and implementation of both domestic and international "reverse" medical tourism activities.
  • Tracking and monitoring the sales/contracts as a result of the medical tourism activities and the resulting travel for medical care cases that result form the activities.
  • Working directly with staff to cultivate and develop relationships with local employers as it pertains to health promotion and managed care contracts.
  • Working directly with staff to develop on-site medical clinics, ensuring the set up and opening of such clinics and monitoring the sales and business activities as a result of such activities.
  • Development of sales and marketing activities to initiate media art programs in the Florida Hospitals and medical practices to include corporate sales and development, procurement of media advertising, development of other forms of media art and development to further the clinical and quality image of the Florida facilities.
  • Assists the Regional Marketing Director with developing & implementing marketing plans to promote the market hospital's business initiatives to constituents. 
 

Qualifications

  • Five years of combined and demonstrated health care/corporate development/medical tourism experience in sales, business development, strategic planning, or related areas.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related discipline is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data management tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understands the health care industry, local market place dynamics and overall hospital strategy and operations; keen understanding of physician relationships and practice patterns; federal, state rules and regulations.
  • Stays current on latest trends in health care, including but not limited to physician relationship development, reimbursement, managed care and clinical program development
