OverView:
The Outpatient Treatment (& Infusion) Center provide patient infusion and recovery services to a wide variety of adult patients. This small specialty group of nurses provide expert care to multiple types of chronically ill patients. Infusions offered include chemotherapy and biotherapy, ambulatory infusion services, intermittent injections, blood transfusions, etc. Other services include acute recovery of interventional procedure patients managing arterial sheaths, acute and chronic pain management and PICC line placement. Active shared leadership and professionally directed unit based services including staff marketing of current services and implementation of new services

Responsibilities:
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with facility and departmental policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. The Registered Nurse utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of patients on his or her assigned unit. BHS Service Standards and support of healing environment are exhibited in all aspects of the Registered Nurses performance.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in ICU, ED, oncology service line and/or pain management services. Prefer BSN; Completion of certification examination for Oncology Nurses Society or Infusion Nurses Society at the end of the first year of employment; ACLS; On-call required.Must possess a current valid Arizona RN license or temporary Arizona RN license. Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area of Medical Imaging/Radiology is desired. ACLS certification required, PALs highly preferred.
