The demand for community-based cancer cancer has increased and now more than 80% of all cancer care is provided at the community level. Our Mid Level Providers play a pivotal role in providing care in this setting.

At the present time we have excellent career opportunities with our affiliated practices for oncology nurse practitioners in the following locations:

Asheville - At least one year of oncology experience is required along with strong leadership skills.

Durham - Regional Cancer Care is a four physician practice that provides adult hematology/oncology care to residents in the Traingle, Central North Carolina and Southern Virginia. Practice insludes five mid-level providers. Entry level candidates will be considered for this opening.

Raleigh-Durham - Cancer Centers of North Carolina has opportunity for a NP or PA with surgical gyn oncology experience. Experience with DaVinci surgery preferred.

Scope of responsibility includes expert practitioner, educator/teacher, care management, consultant, nurse researcher, and nurse leader.

Qualifications Include:
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.

3-5 years of experience as NP preferably with background in oncology.

Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment.

RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.

Current state certification of Nurse Practitioner.

Current CPR certification required.

ACON certification preferred but not required.
