The Patient Services Administrator (PSA) provides on site supervision and administrative authority for all nursing positions during off shifts, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays in the absence of department and Memorial Health System (MHS) leadership. This position is responsible to supervise and coordinate patient care activities and physician services throughout MHS during an assigned shift. The PSA requires extensive experience and judgement to address issues that arise during off shifts and contacts the management person On Call with any immediate issues of a critical nature above his/her authority to resolve. Provides direct operational supervision of all nursing units. Responsibilities include the following: Act as an administrative liaison and resource to outside agencies such as law enforcement and media; attend to patient and family concern issues; oversee patient flow; oversee staffing appropriateness; respond to emergent situations; resolves MHS problems while fulfilling the leadership role throughout the system to ensure quality patient care; supports established organizational/departmental policies & procedures, performance improvement initiatives and environmental standards/regulations.

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Current RN license valid in State of Colorado, or willing to obtain a Colorado license. BLS, certification. ACLS and PALS certification preferred.

Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of acute care clinical experience in an acute care setting. Demonstrated management/leadership and program management experience. Critical Care experience preferred, previous scheduling coordination experience preferred, previous bed placement procedure experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

Requires mobility to transport patients, pick up and deliver supplies, etc., Strength (Medium Work): Exerting 20 to 50 lbs of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 lbs of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects

Crisis Prevention Intervention training completed within 6 months of hire. Emergency Pediatric Intensive Care completed within 12 months of hire.
