As a hands-on technical lead, you will be supporting a vendor-based cardiovascular information system application (CV).The CV application is a mission critical care delivery system tightly coupled with other Southern Cal regional apps. Additional work demand will include custom Cognos reports and various ad hoc data mining requests from Regional Business Partners. This position requires extensive experience with relational databases; preferably Oracle and/or SQL experience. You will be on-call once out of every 2 months as part of a 2-week rotation. Troubleshoot and resolve errors in existing procedures or when system failures occur.Monitor various application components to ensure availability. Communicate with key business partner and KPIT team membersAnalyze requests and write queries/reports using SQL and other extraction tools Keep abreast of new and emerging hardware and software developments, evaluates alternative approaches, and recommends new products or modifications that will enhance operations and development activities.Generates business cases for the deployment of technical solutions including cost/benefit analysis. Coordinates interface with KP-IT on technical strategic directions.Performs third level problem analysis and resolution.Develops troubleshooting policies, methodologies, and standards.Evaluates and selects tools to facilitate problem resolution.Provides in-depth consulting to management and staff at the highest level in the identification and resolution of major problems.Mentors team or project members on problem re solution methods.10-15% local travel with occasional out-of-state trips.


Qualifications

Requirements:At least 7-10 years experience as a senior/lead analyst including experience in client server based MS SQL and/or Oracle applications. Establish strong professional relationships with the customers and business stakeholders Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications Lead efforts to evaluate and recommend technical options and solutions Actively support pre-implementation and go-live activities at medical centers in various regions. Ensure all appropriate support documentation is current for all supported applications Able to multitask and prioritize simultaneous project activitiesCandidate must be able to operate within flexible hours, especially during pre-implementation and go-live phases. Good knowledge of hardware and software components (such as servers, networking, PCs, printers, barcode scanners) is a must. Background and experience with MS web-based products and relational databases is required. Prefer SQL Server and/or Oracle experience.Periodic on-call pager/cell support expected. Strong communications and proven application team leadership skills. Able to adjust work style to work effectively with clients.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.) To have care delivery applications or healthcare industry background.2) To have Crystal Reports (v 8.5 or higher), Cognos or other report writer application experience? Prefer 3-5 or more years experience.3.) To have proven Technical Team Leadership skills. Preferred 3-5 years. 4.) Data analytics experience 5.)
