Hours:12 HOUR SHIFT/WEEKEND WORK
Job Details:
All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. In addition, this position assists in providing a safe and secure environment for our employees, physicians, patients and visitors by providing a visible deterrence to crime and responding to calls of assistance. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1 year security experience desired, healthcare setting preferred. Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: SLED security officer license; complete International Association for Hospital Security and Safety security officer certification within 12 months of hire date. Special Training: SC Laws of Arrest, Search and Seizure; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention; Use of Force and Defensive Tactics; Defensive Driving course; and weapons qualification is required for some posts.
