Shift Hours: 36 Job Description Performs secretarial responsibilities to support the care teams, including phone management and serves as liaison among members of the health care team, families, patients and visitors.

High School diploma or equivalent or general education degree (GED) equivalent, required, with coursework in business, secretarial training, or office practices. College experience or technical training preferred.
A minimum of one-year experience in responsible secretarial work is preferred. Experience in an acute care setting preferred. Experience working with non-English speaking people and a diverse population, preferred
Must demonstrate competency to safely and accurately operate the following equipment: Computer (Windows applications, Word, Excel, and internet Explorer), fax/photocopier machine. Ability to transcribe. Knowledge of on-line scheduling systems, e-mail and other office equipment including calculator, copier, telephone and voice mail systems.
Must have working knowledge of medical terminology and strong verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to listen to others and understand the message.
Must have ability to perform basic math and computer skills, including accurate and efficient word processing skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks and/or activities in an environment with frequent interruptions, required. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, required. Ability to read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English required.
