Schedule:Full-time FTE 0.9 -1.0
Shift:NIGHT
Hours:Nights, 12 hour shifts
Job Details:
Bachelors Degree Preferred
All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. In addition, this job also performs duties necessary to treat patients in accordance with the physician's order and departmental policy. Works independently in all critical care settings and has successfully completed formal in-house training courses for performance of advanced procedures. Communicates regularly with Nursing and Physician staff regarding care of the patient.

Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory Therapy, Associate's degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy

Experience: minimum of one year experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Licensure, Registry or Certification required: BLS and RRT required. Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in SC. Certification required may include any or all of the following, depending on unit: ACLS, NRP, FCCS, NPS or PALS.

Special Training: Must be able to effectively work in a team environment. Strong communication, computer and organizational skills required.
