Job Description
 

Position is full-time, working 80 hours per pay period. Hours are Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p with every other weekend/holiday. Weekend/holiday hours are 8a-4:30p.

The Rehabilitation Therapy Aide assists the PM&R staff by performing routine duties and assisting the therapists in carrying out the patient's plan of care as appropriate. Patient population includes children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. This position may have access to medications for purposes of distribution to licensed personnel.

Must have the skills necessary to assist in the treatment of a diverse age group of patients. Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal services for patients, and some knowledge of the procedures and equipment used by the therapists. Must be able to transfer patients safely. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations.

This postion assists with ordering and distribution of supplies. Various housekeeping and clerical duties as needed. The Rehabilitation Therapy Aide in outpatient therapy comes in contact with visitors and various individuals in other departments as well as patients.

Required Skills

High school graduate or equivalent. Receives on-the -job training under close supervision from the Product Line Manager and staff therapists.
