JOB SUMMARY: Provides statistical expertise to investigators/researchers in the areas of design, conduct, and analysis of clinical or experimental studies. Assumes primary responsibility for projects including aspects of experimental studies. Assumes primary responsibility for projects including aspects of experimental design, data collection, data management, statistical programming, statistical graphics, analysis of data and reporting of results. Reports include explanation of techniques used as well as interpretation of results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field . At least three years of relvant statistical experience in medical environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential. Expertise in statndard statistical software and database management packages is critical. Understanding of medical teminology and concepts is necessary. Individual must exhibit a high degree of self motivation and initiative with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.. Demonstrated project management skills and leadership potential or ability are essential.Requires the ability to sit and be stationary for prolonged periods of time, normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer. Requires the ability to walk to various locations throughout the Foundation and to function in a stressful environment.
Provides statistical expertise in the development of industry sponsored clinical trials including trial design (sample size, analysis populations, statistical methods). Provides input into Case Report Form (CRF) development, creation of mock tables and analysis datasets, Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) and presentation of results. Provides collaborative statistical expertise for post study manuscripts including the analysis and statistical methods section. Ability to work on several trials and/or collaborative projects simultaneously is required. Must be able to meet sponsor/investigator deadlines and work well under pressure.
