Staff RN-Hospital

Qualifications: Current CA RN license and AHA BLS Certification. One (1)-year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent experience in Pediatrics.  Current PALS card required. May be expected to cross train to at least 1 other Perinatal area. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures. Consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited RN school. RNC-Pediatrics certificate, Minimum of year nursing experience in Pediatrics, Peds ICU, NICU  Ablity to commuicate effectively with patients, staff and all levels of management and employees.  Ability to assume Relief charge responsiblities and assist with a variety of procedures. Communicates in a clear, concise manner and approriate to the devleopemntal stage of the patient.  Has full command of the English language (written and verbal).  Procedural sedation competency validation to be completed within 3 months of hire.  Position requries considerable walking, standing, moderate lifting, exposure to patient elements, and handling of emgencies and critical patient incidents. 

Notes: This is an eight (8) hour evening Shift position. Will work rotating weekends.
