Job Details:
Unit Secretary/Phlebotomist/Nurse Tech. All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. In addition, this position performs patient care activities and other tasks to assist the nursing staff under the direction of a registered nurse, performs clerical duties for a nursing unit(s)as well as performs patient phlebotomy as assigned. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2 years experience as a nurse tech preferred along with 3 months related experience or certificate in phlebotomy from accredited program. Clerical experience preferred. Licensure, Certification or Registry required: CNA certification . BLS mandatory. Certificate from accredited phlebotomy program and completion of a SC DHHS approved CNA program. Successful completion of Nurse Aide/Tech orientation as well as successful completion of unit secretary orientation.
