Patient Account Representativ - Billing

Division:  Fresenius Medical Services

Responsible for accurate and timely billing of primary and secondary dialysis claims. Track and quantify claims billed. Resolve claim rejections through clearinghouse or carrier. Resolve internal and external billing issues (e.g., failed transmissions, format errors). Pursue and test electronic claims submission. Responsible for interfacing charges daily from the facilities. Balance all treatments and drugs. Pursue missing billing information.Work with facilities to ensure all charges are captured. Responsible for collecting unpaid or underpaid reimbursement on dialysis claims. Work with internal and external sources to resolve reimbursement issues (e.g., Managed Care, third party payors). Identify and trend specific pay or contract issues. Resolve all denied claims or charges timely. Meet cash collection goals monthly.

Requirements
 

High School Graduate.
Bookkeeping and/or accounting background in a third party billing experience preferred.
Familiarity with personal computers and automated.
Account Receivable preferred.
