Division:  Fresenius Medical Services

Manages overdue accounts and collections implementing company strategies and initiatives to maximize collections, improve cash flow and monitoring and reducing bad debts.
Supervises the activities of the AR Supervisor, AR Senior Account Specialist and the AR Patient Account Specialist, providing expertise, advice and support as needed.
Identifies and researches anomalies and discrepancies following up with appropriate personnel, insurance companies, and managed care, as applicable.
Identifies problem areas, escalating to upper management as needed. Recommends options to correct and address problems.
Monitors A/R Aging Reports to determine priorities and maintain a satisfactory Days Sales Outstanding balance (DSO). Identifies and makes process improvements as needed to reduce balance.
Reviews medical claims for submission to Medicare and/or third party payers.
Investigates and researches problems with providers, insurers, and/or government agencies to provide resolutions.
Ensures all denials are researched and appropriate action is taken escalating as needed.

Requirements
 

Bachelors Degree required. Business or Accounting degree preferred Minimum of 4 years of experience in Healthcare or Pharmacy Billing/Collections organization.
Minimum of 2 years Management/Supervisory experience, supervising at least 20 or more individuals.
Thorough understanding of all billing requirements for (Medicare), state (Medicaid), local agencies, and third party payers
Ability to manage and direct others as well as work as a member of a team.
Excellent communications skills written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize work load and tasks to effectively meet established deadlines.
