Job Description:
 

Responsible for activities which support patient-focused care within the institution. The responsibilities consist of maintaining the institution and patient rooms in a safe, clean and functional condition. Transporting patients, equipment and specimens. Performing maintenance and repair of equipment.

1.Maintains institution and patient rooms in a safe, clean and functional condition by completing sanitary and housekeeping tasks in a timely manner and according to established procedures.

2.Performs emergency clean-up.

3.Transports patients on stretchers or wheelchairs and/or transports specimens, equipment and patient belongings according to established procedures.

4.Monitors, reports and takes action of any unsafe or dysfunctional condition(s).

5.Maintains in-wall cabinet stack at par level.

6.Obtains patient charts and test order requests per established procedures.

7.Performs simple maintenance and repair of equipment as required. Initiates and follows up on repair requisitions.

8.Performs other duties as assigned, including generation of reports.

Job Qualifications:
 

High School Diploma or GED.
0 -1 years of experience.
1-2 years of experience preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual is a plus.
Ability to interact with patients, clients and customers on all levels.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
