**YARDLEY PEDIATRICS OFFICE**
 
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for patient flow, obtaining height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure and head circumference.  Responsible for plotting heights and weights on growth chart.  Responsible for notifying the primary nurse and/or physician that the patient is ready to be seen in a timely manner.  Responsible for collecting lab specimens, i.e. urine, sputum cultures, etc., and for filling out all lab paperwork.  Responsible for ensuring that the patient visit has been completed - patient seen by all team members, tests and specimen collection completed.  Responsible for administrative duties as assigned.
 
Must have the ability to handle multiple projects.  Must have demonstrated ability to listen effectively and communicate verbally and in writing.  Able to make sound, reasonable judgments using analytical and problem-solving approaches. 
 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
  • Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant Certificate.
  • GE Group Management (IDX Groupcast) experience helpful
  • Minimum two years pediatric or related specialty experience with demonstrated clinical competence. 
  • Minimum two (2) years experience with scheduling systems and front desk responsibilities. 
  • Data entry and typing experience required. 
  • Customer service orientation and skills in problem solving.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal/behavior skills.
