Job Details:
All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. In addition, this position is responsible for the directing and coordinating of security operations during their designated shift. Education: High school diploma, Associates Degree preferred. Experience: 3 years security experience desired, 1 year supervisor experience. Number and Type of Employees Supervised: 10-15 security officers Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: SLED security officer license; complete International Association for Hospital Security and Safety security officer certification within 12 months of hire date. Special Training: SC Laws of Arrest, Search and Seizure; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention; Use of Force and Defensive Tactics; Defensive Driving course; and weapons qualification is required for some posts.
