Assists with overseeing the daily operations of the Access Management areas. Responsible for patient, interdepartmental activities and, in the absence of department management, acts as Supervisor for the Access Management staff.
Experience Required: Minimum one year's continuous performance that consistently exceeds established quantity and quality standards or equivalent work experience. Understanding of and ability to interpret third party payer principles and terms. Strong customer relations, verbal and written and communications skills required in English and Spanish.
Special Skills & Qualifications: Have initiative and demonstrate defined leadership qualities, including ability to train and motivate co-workers, and to assume supervisory duties in his/her absence. Successful completion of Medical Terminology, proficiency in 10-key calculator by touch. Knowledge of and experience with automated systems.
