The Infusion Systems Analyst will be the overall subject matter expert and information technology analyst responsible for the detailed IV medication dispensing for the infusion pharmacies using the nationally supported application and related interfaces.
The successful candidate will have a proven background in home health/infusion pharmacy and related operational workflow. The candidate will also demonstrate the leadership necessary to centrally coordinate home health/infusion pharmacy order processing systems at a national level in order to support a standard, uniform, prescription order processing workflow across the Kaiser Permanente organization.
This candidate will work with IT and business stakeholders to identify requirements needed to support operational and functional changes in infusion processing workflow as well as any external systems and/or downstream systems that have dependencies on data, reporting, etc.
Essential Functions:
Build credibility as KP's IT expert in home health/infusion pharmacy building efficient, comprehensive order processing systems
Be the subject matter expert for IV compounding, order processing, documentation, and workflow
Be the subject matter expert for the initial builds, setup & configuration, and all ongoing support and maintenance
Define system configuration requirements to support a standard, national process for home health/infusion pharmacy
Assure that all legal/regulatory requirements are supported when using the application as the pharmacy dispensing system, e.g. hard copy requirements, labeling requirements, reporting requirements, waste, etc.
Develop process for maintaining:
Product and/or IV compound recipes maintenance
QA and validation of all centrally maintained items
User acceptance level testing
Clinical configuration in EpicRx
Label formatting
User roles
Assure that the system(s) support all pharmacy financial, billing, and inventory functions such as:
Pricing, claims & adjudication
Inventory management, CGS & financial reporting
Formulary
Coordinate and support vendor release processing, updates, and enhancements
Coordinate and facilitate interregional home health/infusion pharmacy workgroups
Gather and analyze business requests for improvements or changes to order processing systems and workflow
Work with business partners and IT Software Engineering to develop requirements for interfaces, messaging content and functionality, including middleware
Transform requirements into solutions by partnering with IT software engineering teams and vendor software development groups
Maintain and build relationships with business operations, regional departments, and vendors to deliver common, standard, and practical solutions that add value to Business Operations
Interregional leadership and managing ordering systems innovation in alignment with strategic objectives
Basic Qualifications:
6 plus years direct work experience working in managed care environments including home health/infusion pharmacy.
2 plus years experience working in pharmacy based software solutions or informatics based environment.
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
1 plus years of Hanns On or Ascend pharmacy application experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical application implementation experience is desirable.
Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills.

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Strong time management and project management skills
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
