These are full-time, temporary, one year (June 28, 2010 - June 24, 2011), benefited positions which will provide training in acute care, primary care, managed care, drug information, practice management and drug policy development.
The purpose of the General Practice Residency is to develop the knowledge and skills needed to enable the pharmacist to effectively provide pharmaceutical care in a wide variety of settings. Two positions are available at Intermountain Medical Center, three at Primary Children's Medical Center, two at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and two at McKay-Dee Hospital.
The purpose of the Managed Care Residency is to help the resident develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide pharmaceutical care including the provision of rational pharmacotherapy and the delivery of appropriate product-related services to members of an integrated health care system. This position is affiliated with Intermountain Health Plans - SelectHealth.
Interviews for both residency programs will be held in January and February, 2008. All applicants must register and participate in the ASHP Resident Matching Program.
