Summary:
The role encompasses the management of patient care through implementation of the nursing process, supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care. Performs patient assessments, utilizing the nursing process. Plans patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Implements patient care and provides appropriate interventions. Evaluates outcomes of patient care and adjusts nursing processes as necessary. Demonstrates and maintains clinical competency in order to care for all patient types. Provides patient and family teaching. Provides supervision of unlicensed and licensed personnel to assure safe and effective care. Coordinates patient care through the interdisciplinary process. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage/prioritize/delegate patient care and complete work assignments and other duties, as assigned. License/Certifications: Current RN nursing license, state of California, Healthcare Provider BCLS.
