Mechanical Technician I

Division:  Fresenius Medical Services

1. Ensure that all dialysis equipment is maintained according to manufacturers recommendations and company policy. 2. Respond to Emergency requests for evaluation and/or repair of dialysis equipment. 3. Document all equipment and system maintenance and repairs. 4. Ensure safety checks and routine tasks are conducted and documented in a timely fashion according to the established policies and procedures. 5. Responsible for equipment cleaning and disinfecting according to specified standards after repair and maintenance has been performed. 6. Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. 7. Evaluate the current equipment inventory. 8. Participate in an On-Call system 9. Responsible for cost containment with regard to equipment maintenance and repair. 10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
 

High school/Vocational diploma or G.E.D. Technician training or AA Degree in electronics, or Biomedical, or equivalent preferred, but we are willing to train the right applicant. At least six months experience working in a technical (industry/medical) setting. Must demonstrate organizational and leadership skills, including those required to problem-solve in a medical, health care environment.
