Private Practice Setting

Responsibilities:
Examine patients for appropriate medical treatment.  Diagnose physical disorders and recommend treatment such as
prescribing medicine or referring to a specialist
Physician complies with expected completion standards regarding charting and lab follow up.
Responds in accordance with accepted standards to coder inquires regarding documentation
Complies with all department and organizational policies and procedures
Perform procedures as per policy
Reviews medical records, physical assessments, diagnostic reports and all nursing orders in accordance with policy

Requirements for this job:
BC/BE in Emergency Medicine
Must have successfully completed a residency program
Two-plus years of experience in field of practice is preferred
Current license in the state of practice
