Description
 

The Renal Dietitian is responsible for providing ongoing care for all nutrition aspects of pre ESRD, ESRD, PD and transplant patients. Responsible for comprehensive nutrition assessment including short term care plan and long-term program within one month of admission. Recommend appropriate feeding methods/formula or meal patterns. (i.e. IDPN, supplements). Responsible for developing or obtaining patient nutrition educations materials. Counsel patient, family, significant other or caregiver on prescribed diet and monitor adherence and response to therapy. Review monthly lab work on an individual basis and intervene as appropriate in collaboration with patients physician.

Requirements
 

Registered Dietitian
Current state licensure if applicable
Prefer membership to the American Dietetic Association and/or professional membership to a renal association i.e.
CRN Minimum 1 year clinical dietetic experience.
Previous renal experience preferred.
Effective oral communication skills are essential.
Ability to travel with valid drivers license required. Will travel between two different clinics.
