BASIC FUNCTION: Position responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, standards and conditions required by healthcare programs, governmental agencies, accrediting organizations, as well as internal quality standards and policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors Degree in discipline relevant to clinical area.
2. Certification in field.
3. Three years experience in field of expertise.
4. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
5. Intermediate or expert level computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Develops and recommends policies and procedures relating to compliance that are consistent with Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
2. Coordinates the implementation of policies and procedures relating to compliance and oversees the education for such processes.
3. Conducts regular audits and coordinates the maintenance of appropriate records related to compliance and quality standards.
4. Designs audit tools and prepares reports on the implementation and effectiveness of new and existing policies and procedures. Monitors activities of staff related to compliance and/or quality initiatives. May conduct trend analyses to identify patterns in order to develop proactive practices.
5. Maintains a working knowledge of existing and developing laws, regulations, standards, guidelines, ethics, reporting/documentation requirements, and conditions applicable to the field. Serves as a resource and subject matter expert related to requirements.
6. Adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity and accuracy of practice.
7. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory, continuing educations, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
