Miller Children’s Hospital is one of 22 hospitals in California to feature a Regional Level III NICU–the highest designation available from the State. The unit maintains strict state regulatory criteria providing optimal care for very sick infants, including those who need immediate surgery, or who weigh less than two pounds.  The babies and their families are supported by many professionals who specialize in neonatology.  Continuous care is provided by a comprehensive team including board certified/eligible neonatologists in house 24 hours a day, registered nurses (RNs) and registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).  This specialized team uses state-of-the-art technology for the care and treatment of their tiny patients, resulting in one of the highest risk-adjusted survival rates.

About the Opportunity

To provide safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing.  A current license or interim permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in California is required.  Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and NRP certifications are also required.  Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience is required, Level III experience is preferred.
