Description

Requires a person with leadership ability, which is flexible in a multidisciplinary environment. Director is available and responsible, 24-hours per day, and has high standards of commitment to their staff, patients, community, and hospital. Responsibilities include planning, leadership, and marketing of area(s) of responsibility.   Has responsibility and primary accountability to supervise a  section/unit. Assigns work, checks results, controls costs, appraises performance, recommends salary increase and promotional recommendations.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing -or - enrollment in a BSN or Health Related Field program within 1 year of acceptance of position AND nursing experience equal to two years clinical to one year of BSN program. Also a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.

 

Experience: RN with 2 years demonstrated management/supervisory experience.

 

Professional Requirement: RN license recognized by the State of Tennessee

 

Certifications:  BLS and ACLS required.
