RN - CLINICAL II: - MIN. 2 YEARS RECENT LEL II- NICU EXP. REQUIRED
The Clinical Nurse assumes principal responsibilities for total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, feed infants orally or via gavage tubes, the ordered formula or breast milk. Insert and manage peripheral IV catheters and the ordered fluid infusions, manage arterial and central lines and the ordered fluids. Perform point of care testing as ordered or per protocol. Attend deliveries and C/S as requested. Teach parents newborn care and how to administer medications. Develop and implement and document to the plan of care. Assist mothers with breastfeeding and maintain according to policy the storage of breast milk. Manage patients on various ventilatory modes to include nasal cannulas, oxygen hoods, nasal CPAP, ventilators and pneumogram machines. Document patient interventions and results. Must be able to manage independently multiple priorities. Possess active listening skills. Demonstrated Clinical Competencies and leadership skills. Able to manage complex patients. Able to respond to changing workloads during crisis and emergency situations.
