Description

We are seeking a Business Consultant Analyst with meeting presence to join the Application and Platform Integration team. This is a 2 year full time temporary positions.We partner with Kaiser Permanente Business & IT teams to understand their needs & strategic direction and deliver IT solutions and services. You will work in an exciting technical environment that is comprised of the following: Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Personal Health Record (PHR) system, Billing Systems, Member & Provider Ecosystems with integrated data & applications, with High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions.

 

Essential Functions:

As a Business Analyst, you will mainly
Help Devise, document & implement business & IT procedures and processes
Help with business continuity planning including documenting data flows and user experience in various use cases as per technical solution roadmap
Collaborate with a team of Subject Matter Experts, vendors, Technical Project Managers, etc to effectively deliver projects/initiatives, including capability to work in large cross-functional teams
Assesses scope and impact of client business needs  to define a project and leads partnering IT services in accomplishing those needs.
Develop complex business cases with cost, service,  benefit and ROI dimensions of proposed IT projects that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions
Develop and implement communication and escalation plans and resolves issues.
Provide project plans for specific client's IT project or project sub-tasks
Manage release plan and features adoption for business continuity solutions and features
Help with preparing communication, administration and user guides
Help with use case analysis & documentation, business process definition & re-engineering workflows in Healthcare industry for differing applications in differing scenarios
Contribute to enterprise-wide strategic project success


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

12 years of IT or related experience
6 years of IT Project Management experience supporting enterprise applications or Epic EMR suite of applications
Experience developing processes for Project Management Office tracking
Experience developing and managing various reports for project status and deliverables
Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Office Toolkit - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
2 years experience with Access database, Web screen mock ups
Industry standard templates for documenting use cases, data flows, user guides, business processes in clinical environment
Communicating to technical & business teams
Should understand technology and its jargon - including business continuity enablement concepts, data flows, infrastructure, etc.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Able to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated
Ability to be adapt to priority changes as needed
Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs
Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of equivalent work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with healthcare industry and workflows, preferably Epic suite of Applications
Experience with disaster recovery or business continuity planning
Consulting experience
Technical writer experience
Experience working in a matrix environment
PMO experience is highly desired
Project Management certification is highly desired
