As the regional point of contact for the Infrastructure Program (IP), this new role:
Will build a stronger alignment between the IP and the region business priorities
Will ensure that IP investments and their business value are clearly understood in each region
Will bring a stronger understanding of local environment and will improve project execution, and
Will ensure regional requirements are incorporated into the overall IP strategy and business plan.
The Regional Consultant will be responsible for:
Ensuring IP deliverables are successfully implemented in each region.
Providing regional input on IP's strategy, multi-year plan, and business cases.
Leading efforts to secure regional funding in support of the IP.
Collaborating with Business Information Officers (BIO) and their respective teams in prioritizing IP resources and investments.
Essential Functions:
1. Network & Wireless Program Track:
Collaborating with regional leadership to develop a multi-year, regional implementation plan.
Gaining agreement on scope of work required at each site.
Prioritizing program changes in each region.
Coordinating program and regional resources to develop detailed implementation and communication plans.
Coordinating regional execution.
Removing any local barriers impeding progress.
Providing program status reporting.
Developing business case to secure facilities funding.
Providing regional input on voicemail and wireless strategy.
2. Disaster Recovery (DR) Program Track:
Gaining regional agreement on each application's DR requirements and Class of Service.
Providing regional input on the DR cost methodology model.
Coordinating regional execution.
Removing any local barriers impeding progress.
Providing program status reporting.
3. Continuous Availability Program Track:
Coordinating KP HealthConnect (KPHC) implementations to hospital regions.
Providing regional input on KPHC solutions for non-hospital regions.
Providing regional input on requirements and solutions for kp.org, laboratory and radiology.
Identifying soft/hard benefits.
Coordinating regional execution.
Removing any local barriers impeding progress.
Providing program status reporting.
4. Data Center Program Track:
Assisting in develop Data Center study.
Providing input on application strategies that may impact future data center requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree or 4 years of related work experience
10 or more years of experience in managing infrastructure operations including network, telephony and data centers
Experience with program managing infrastructure IT projects over $50M
Experience in building disaster recovery plans
Experience developing IT strategic plans and business cases
Strong understanding of the following technologies: Network, Telephony and Wireless technologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to influence at all levels.
Excellent management consultation skills and ability to manage client relationships
Ability to work well with others with diverse backgrounds and at various organizational levels
Superior skills in managing/building relationships
Strong Program Management experience
Experience coordinating/integrating resources who are not direct reports
High energy/results driven, solution focused, highly collaborative

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA preferred
