Job Description:
 

The Hemodialysis Coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing support of the daily practice and of any process implementation in the front end management of the Hemodialysis Service at The Mount Sinai Renal Treatment Center primarily aimed at maximizing revenue and collecting data supporting billing integrity & compliance. This individual will work with Hemodialysis directors, the clinical nurse manager, the Hemodialysis nurses & the Social worker to assess and oversee daily workflow, monitor the reconciliation process, reports any variance from established processes, collect stats & analyze data. The Hemodialysis Coordinator will experience frequent interactions with the staff members, physicians, medical staff, and patients as well as other Dialysis centers. This individual will interact at all times with Patient Financial Services on billing initiatives for the Hemodialysis Service.

This individual will be responsible for providing and overseeing day to day front end management processes. The Hemodialysis Coordinator will reach to other necessary hospital system groups to secure financial data, connect patients and facilitates operational issues. Through analysis the Hemodialysis Coordinator will be expected to understand fiscal intermediary requirements related to compliance & reimbursement. The Hemodialysis Coordinator will be expected to propose change and solutions that will improve the stability of the program. In addition, the Hemodialysis Coordinator will be responsible to assist in the overall center fiscal management and goals to include but not limited to supply management.

Job Qualifications:
 

* Bachelor degree preferred. Associate degree (actively working toward a Bachelor degree) combined with 3-5 years of experience in/knowledge of an ambulatory care setting or financial systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Bilingual a plus
* Strong analytical skills
* Computer skills
- required: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word
- Any other computer such as: Visio, Project highly recommended
* Able to identify and approach issues with professional and problem-solving attitude
* Able to work under pressure and meet rigorous deadlines
* Demonstrates understanding of relationship between process and outcome
