Description

Under general supervision, performs clerical, reception, typing and filing duties; operates equipment/machines (fax, phone, photocopier, etc.); receives phone calls and triages calls effectively and efficiently; schedules appointments; greets visitors; maintains files; receives, sorts, and distributes mail. Collects and compiles data; conducts research; prepares statistical reports and coordinates projects; assists in preparation of special documents and management reports in areas of data information collection, compilation of findings utilizing spreadsheets, graphics, and database software, and simple analyses to assist in variety of administrative projects. Operates with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative, handles multiple range of advanced administrative duties; serves as resource of organization's policies, procedures, practices. May assist in monitoring and evaluating work performance and training of clerical staff; supports compliance and Principles of Responsibility, maintains confidentiality; protects organizational assets; exhibits ethics and integrity. Adheres to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies and procedures; reports and/or resolves issues of non-compliance

Essential Functions:

Collects and compiles data; conducts research; prepares statistical reports and coordinates projects.
Assists in preparation of special documents and management reports in the areas of data information collection, compilation of findings utilizing spreadsheets, graphics and database software and simple analyses to assist in a variety of administrative projects
Operates with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative; Handles multiple ranges of advanced administrative duties.
Serves as resource of organization's policies, procedures, practices
May assist in monitoring and evaluating work performance and training of clerical staff
Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide culturally sensitive care and/or service
Adheres to and maintains current knowledge of Principles of Responsibility, applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies and procedures, reports and/or resolves issues of non-compliance.
Cooperates with other staff members both within and outside department in accomplishment of own job duties as well as assisting others in accomplishing theirs; Serves as team player and role model for other staff members in Organization always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness and respect; CONDUCTS oneself in service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with members, visitors, public and all employees
Performs other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Three years of office administration or secretarial experience
High school diploma
Type 55 wpm
Knowledge of and skill in adaptability, change management, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, teamwork, and written communication
Knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications
Talking to coworkers, customers, outside vendors, and on the telephone
Reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
Training/giving and receiving instructions
Mathematical ability, attention to detail (e.g., organization, prioritization, proofing), concentration, and alertness


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in health care environment
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
