Description

Under general supervision, performs clerical, reception, typing and filing duties. Operates equipment/machines. Receives phone calls and triages calls effectively and efficiently. Schedules appointments, greets visitors, maintains files, receives, sorts and distributes mail, collects and compiles data, conducts research, prepares statistical reports and coordinates projects. Assists in preparation of special documents and management reports in areas of data information collection, compilation of findings utilizing spreadsheets, graphics and database software, and simple analyses to assist in variety of administrative projects. Operates with wide latitude for independent judgement and initiative. Handles multiple range of advanced administrative duties.

 

Essential Functions:
Collects and compiles data; conducts research; prepares statistical reports and coordinates projects
Assists in preparation of special documents and management reports in areas of data information collection, compilation of findings utilizing spreadsheets, graphics and database software and simple analyses to assist in variety of administrative projects
Operates with wide latitude for independent judgement and initiative; handles multiple range of advanced administrative duties
Serves as resource of organization's policies, procedures, practices
Assists in monitoring and evaluating work performance and training of clerical staff as applicable
Follows established policies, procedures or specific instructions
Performs other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Three years office administration or secretarial experience
High school diploma
Type 50 wpm
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, teamwork, written communication, organizational skills, detail-orientation, and multi-tasking
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications
Talking to coworkers, customers, outside vendors, and on the telephone
Reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
Training/giving and receiving instructions
Mathematical ability, attention to detail (e.g., organization, prioritization, proofing), concentration, and alertness

 

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare environment
Associate's degree in secretarial science
