GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:  Responsible for assisting patients with questions concerning their account and reviewing past due accounts with patients.

 


Qualifications

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.  Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. 

 

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  Work is performed in a medical office environment.  Involves frequent contact with the public and staff.  May be stressful at times.  Contact may involve angry or upset people. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Ability to communicate clearly.  Ability to apply written guidelines and standardization work practices.  Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.

           

            Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience:  At least 6 months experience in a physician practice setting preferred.

 

            Certificate/License:  MOA certificate desirable.
