The Institute for Aging Research in Boston, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, is one of the most prestigious aging research facilities in the country. HSL's NewBridge on the Charles, our premier multigenerational continuing care retirement community in Dedham, consists of 256 independent living units, 50 assisted living units, 41 memory support assisted living units, and a 268-bed Health Care Center, which offers long-term and sub-acute care. Hebrew SeniorLife also offers services to the community, including Adult Day Health programs and outpatient clinics in audiology, exercise, memory disorders, osteoporosis screening, and rehabilitation.

Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, the Outpatient Clinic Coordinator is responsible for many of the administrative tasks related to Outpatient Department at Center Communities of Brookline. The Outpatient Clinic Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in the outpatient clinic.Greet patients upon arrival to Outpatient Clinic. Serve as communication and information resource for patients on the phone and in person in the clinic.Maintain excellent 'customer' service with patients, families, clinicians and all co-workers. Protect patient confidentiality by promoting professional staff communication according to HIPPA standards.Use appropriate practice management systems to schedule all appointments, arrive patients, capture and update demographics.Verify insurance and collect co-pays and/or patient balances at time of visit.Use electronic medical records system to maintain patient charts. Scan consultant notes, results, follow up information into chart. Establish and maintain relationships with other departments and individuals who are important to the overall success of the outpatient clinics.
Qualifications: '¢High School Diploma or equivalent required. '¢2-3 years of medical office experience required. '¢Previous geriatric experience preferred. Medical Assisting experience is also a plus. '¢Must be professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual. '¢Superb organizational skills. Must be motivated to learn and flexible to change. '¢Computer literacy required; experience with Windows is required. Practice Management Systems experience is desirable.
