RN - Pediatric Congenital Heart Surgical Unit - (FT Nights)


Description 

·         Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery.
·         The RN in the CHSU will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care.  This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.
·         The RN in the CHSU will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
·         The RN in the CHSU will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement.
·         The RN in the CHSU will maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.The RN in the CHSU will support the mission, vision and values of the organization. 
 
  
 10 beds now  and the CV will be 12 beds in April and the PICU will be 20 beds in April.

Qualifications 

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Current license by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of Texas.
Congenital Heart Experience and/or high-acuity PICU medical-surgical experience preferred.
RN license Employment in this position is contingent upon successful licensure as a RN.
BLS for the healthcare provider required upon hire.
CHSU nurses - PALS will be preferred upon hire but must be obtained within 6 months. 
CCRN preferred.
