Clinical Nurse Specialist - Peds / NICU

A Hospital in the Los Angeles, CA area is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Peds/ NICU. This hospital is also on its magnet status journey.
This position calls for 80 % of the time spent in the unit, 20% of the time spent with educating the team. Minimum meetings, this group tries to keep the CNS’ at the bedside. They also support an open idea policy.

The NICU is a level III and has 20+ beds. The Pediatric unit has 10+ beds and there is no PICU.

No cardiac surgery and if kids get very ill they are transfer out.

Qualifications:
2 years of CNS experience.
Must have prior Peds and NICU experience.

Location:
Due to the moderating effect of the ocean, temperatures in this area average from 46-78 °F year round.
