1. 95% of discharged charts are coded and abstracted within 3 days of discharge.
2. Productivity standards are met 95% of the time.
3. Maintains a 95% coding accuracy rate.
4. Follows all coding guidelines for all patient types.
5. Maintains a 95% accuracy rate for abstracting OSHPD data.
6. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the SMART software as needed.
7. Runs SMART on an as needed basis.
8. Reviews the SMART worksheets and makes corrections as needed.
9. Demonstrates a working knowledge of PBAR, HPF, ClinTrac and all HIS computer systems and software.
10. Other duties as assigned by Management.
A. Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent. RHIT, RHIA, CCS or eligible.
B. Minimum Experience: Must have a minimum of one year experience in coding and abstracting systems in an acute care facility. Medical Terminology, ICD-9 and CPT-4 classes required. Must have computer experience.
C. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Health Information Services background preferred.
