6084/CLINICAL MANAGER/FULL TIME

Reporting to the Director of Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, the Clinical Manager is a management position responsible for the management and quality of nursing personnel.  This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Telemetry and Surgical Units.  In addition to providing high quality patient care, he/she is able to provide technical, educational and administrative support to the Director and Unit Personnel.  This includes overseeing the development and implementation of systems for evaluation of clinical competency of the nursing staff, helping to develop and update standards and policies, consultation of the nursing staff for complex nursing issues.  It includes providing pertinent continuing education for existing staff, mentoring of new staff and Performance Improvement activities.  

Required:

1. Current Ca RN license
2. Current AHA BLS card
3. Must possess strong clinical skills especially in cardiac and Post Op care
4. Technical/computer skills
5.  3-5 years management experience

Preferred:

1. BSN
2. Basic arrhythmia course completion or equivalent
3. AHA ACLS certification
4. ANA Medical Surgical Certification
5. ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certificate
